Botanical meat

"Happiness held is the seed; happiness shared is the flower."

John Harrigan

I am still determining where this idea came from. I'll be the first to admit it is somewhat left-field. I liked the idea of presenting some images of the men of meat in a different context.

I love the Victorian imagery of collage, especially anything botanical. I thought it would be interesting to incorporate these Victorian illustrations with my images of men from meat. Flora and fauna, if you will. It should not necessarily work, but the results are beautiful, if I may say.

In some ways, it's another chapter in my exploration of modern masculinity. I was nervous about taking this project to its logical conclusion and presenting it as a print project. However, everyone who saw the images as I created them and as they evolved responded so positively, which was an absolute delight for me.

So here they are, twelve archive meat images presented in an A5 hand-decorated folio, each one unique and presented with a signed certificate of authenticity. I digitally print each A5 image in my studio on 300gsm pearl archival paper. They are ready to frame or enjoy as they are.

The edition is strictly limited to /50 folios and is available exclusively HERE

There are also two new t-shirts to accompany this print portfolio, which are also available from HERE
