meat sixteen - The First Sixteen Years
Sixteen years ago, I started meat with a simple idea: to celebrate men, masculinity and modern desire through photography, free from shame, stereotypes or apology.
What began as a personal photography project has grown into a body of work spanning sixteen years - 76 magazines, four books, a decade of calendars, a clothing line, club nights and, above all, a community brought together by a shared appreciation of men, masculinity and modern desire. A community of readers who have embraced meat for its honesty, warmth and unique perspective.
To mark this milestone, I'm incredibly proud to announce meat sixteen – The First Sixteen Years.
Published this September, the book brings together the very best of meat's first sixteen years. More than a retrospective, it's a celebration of the people, images and stories that have shaped the magazine, and a reflection on how ideas of masculinity have evolved over that time.
